I'm a California native and small town girl who found her home in the beautiful Hudson Valley. I value freedom, intimacy, and togetherness, and strive to reflect these qualities in my images of people and moments.
I've been practicing photography since 2008. After a failed attempt at a career in fashion design, I traded in my tapemeasure for a rangefinder and discovered a whole new world of creative expression, exploration, and growth.
Initially, I dabbled in street photography and corporate events until I stumbled into a weekend workshop on studio lighting with Bobbi Lane at the Center of Photography in Woodstock, NY. That's when I fell in love with the intimacy of the portrait and the art of manipulating light.
I went on to take courses in fashion photography and flash photography at the International Center of Photography in New York, NY, but always came back to the portrait and documentary—of uplifting interactions and universal moments that reveal the best of humanity.
